This is an album of music made with a harmonograph connected to a modular synthesiser via sensors. A harmonograph is an 18th century scientific device that uses pendulums to create drawings that illustrate musical harmony. For this album I set the pendulums to near unison, so they gently swing in and out of phase with each other. Each time the machine creates a unique drawing, it also creates a unique musical composition to accompany it. The duration of each track is the exact time it takes for the pendulums to run down at which point the drawing is complete. There are 18 in total and the originals drawings can be purchased here on my bandcamp page. Here's a video of the harmonograph in action:

Magic in its purest form. I love Floating Points, I love Pharoah Sanders, I love The London Symphony Orchestra. It's a match made in heaven, and the result is absolutely gorgeous. I have loved this record since its release, and realized I don't own it for some reason. So its time to change that. 9.5/10 honestly could become a 10/10 on an indepth vinyl relisten. angrypizza98
